Pantry Casserole

I had planned to make Shredded BBQ Chicken sandwiches last night but I was missing a few ingredients and money was tight. So, I had a package of chicken strips I needed to cook...I went to my pantry to see what I had on hand. I then put together this casserole! I call it Pantry Casserole.  The whole family loved it. Everyone had more then one helping. We had zero leftovers!

Pantry Casserole
Chicken strips cooked in 2 T of butter
(the boneless skinless ones)
1 Box of Chicken Rice A Roni
(cooked according to instructions)
1/4 C Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 C French Fried Onions

When you have your chicken cooked, and your rice a roni cooked, you will then combine the two together. Then Add your cream of chicken soup. Stir till combined.  Add your french fried onions. Put in a casserole dish. Top with french fried onions. Next take your biscuit dough strips and form a lattice on top of the casserole. Brush with butter and sprinkle salt.  Cook till the chicken mixture is bubbly and the biscuit dough is cooked and golden. Eat and enjoy!

  1. I am DEFINITELY making this one. I love recipes that have 'leftovers' to reheat for another dinner. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Oh so easy and looks so tasty. Gonna make this soon 😊

  3. What a great recipe using up ingredients from the pantry! I hope you will want to share it at my Say G'day party!
