Sun Dried Tomato Basil Ranch

Good Morning Everyone! Last week I decided on an idea to make Sun dried tomato basil ranch homemade.  So last night for dinner I made Sun Dried tomato basil ranch on lettuce wedge.  The homemade ranch is sooo good and guess what? Its easy! I also used fresh basil and dill from my herb garden...I couldn't be any happier then that.
The original recipe came from TheCountryCook and I liked it BUT felt like it needed a revamp! So I created Sun Dried tomato basil ranch! I love tomato, basil and garlic so this was a win win! I hope you enjoy it!!!

Sun Dried Tomato Basil Ranch

8 Basil Leaves
3-4 Cloves of Garlic
4 spoons of Sun Dried Tomatos in Oil
2 T. Dill
2/3 C Mayo
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1 Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Cracked Pepper

In a food processor or blender put your garlic in and mince it really fine. Add basil and run it till it is all chopped with the garlic. Then add sun dried tomatoes. Blend it or process it till it is nice and small. Set it aside. In a bowl add your mayo, buttermilk, sour cream, dill, salt and pepper. Mix it well. Then add your sun dried tomato basil mixture. Mix it really well. If you want to do the wedges slice the lettuce into wedges. I added Cheddar Jack cheese. This will keep for a couple weeks or more.

  3. Would it work if I used tomatoes that I dehydrated with this? Thanks. Can't wait to try this.

    1. I don't know...You can try but I'd add a lil oil to the basil mixture.
