2012 Review

Good Morning Everyone,
I really wanted to take some time to review 2012 :-) This last year has brought so much excitement to my life. I started Cooking From A SAHM Jan.28th. When I started it I wasn't so sure anyone would be interested in my cooking, my life, my family, or what I was having for dinner.  I vividly remember my goal of wanting to be at 100 or even 50 people. What I didn't know is how it would take off. I am just under a year old and this blog has grown more then I ever expected.  I have made so many foodie friends, whom I truly treasure. My fans are amazing. You all have stuck with me, helped me reach goals, listened to my ranting, tried my recipes, and always bring a smile to my face. So many of you have tried my recipes and loved them. That truly makes what I do worth it.  Cooking From A SAHM now has 2101 fans, and that makes me thrilled ;-)

Aside from my blog work, I have started to work with an organization called Project New Bedford. I started out just doing a food drive, but ended up now being the Administrative Assistant. I love working with them, not to mention I have gained wonderful friends. You can find our Facebook page here Project New Bedford and our website is: Project New Bedford Website
We have a lot of awesome things lined up to do :-) This has given me so many new opportunities.

As I was making homemade ranch dressing, I realized I forgot a huge thing. My mom and I went to hear Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond speak. I actually got to meet her thanks to some wonderful woman who let me in front. We had to catch the T and we were WAY back in the line. But I asked a couple girls if I could please meet Ree. They said sure and had no problems. It made my day. She signed my cookbook :-)

My kids have grown like weeds! It's hard to believe my oldest will attend kindergarten next year. When did that happen?! My oldest also learned how to ride a bike :-)  They have had a full but fun year, and I can't wait to see what 2013 holds.
Here is their Christmas photo

I truly hope that 2013 brings you love, joy, peace and above all spend time with your family.

  1. Hi Alyssa...I'm a fellow food blogger. I write Baked Lava www.bakedlava.com I could not leave you sitting at 39 blog followers, so I became your 40th. I like your writing style and when I get a spare minute, I want to delve into your recipes and see what you got going!! Your daughters are just too cute. I don't have 2 legged kids, but I have 4 of the 4 legged variety. Anyhow, I just wanted to drop by and say HI!!
