Good Morning Everyone,
So sorry for the delay in this recipe, however my parents left yesterday to fly back to IL, then I had to get us all ready to run errands. I just didn't get this recipe posted. So here ya go :-)
You know your never too old to bake with your mom :-) Yesterday morning we made these together. Here is a lil background information on this :-)
In 1986 my mom found this recipe on the M&M bag, and she made them for our family. They quickly became a family favorite. However, when we moved we lost the recipe, and just found it again a couple years ago. So yesterday my mom and I made these...this time I formed the cookies and mom ate them. HA :-) It was such a good time and fond memories being made. These treats are soooo good, and very easy.
* Please note that we did not make up this recipe but that we just have lost the recipe from time to time. Credit goes to whoever came up with this recipe.
2 Tablespoons of Crisco
2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter
1 2/3 M&M's
3 Cups Corn Flakes
Melt peanut butter and Crisco together in a big pan. Add your m&ms using a metal spoon crush them. You'll still see colors of the shells but leave them...Just make sure its all crushed and melted. Once that is done then you add your 3 cups of cornflakes/ Do not crush the cornflakes. Also add little bits at a time just so you can coat them all. Once that is done then take a spoon or cookie scoop and put it on wax paper. They will harden as they sit, but they are still crumbly. Have no worries they are still good, even though they crumble. Makes about 15 cookies or so.
